We just love the springtime! The weather is getting nicer, summer is right around the corner, and it’s the perfect excuse to wear a pretty flowy dress. A fun spring dress just makes you feel so good! They work for all kinds of events- weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays, brunches, etc. We are sharing a roundup of casual, everyday dresses as well as event dresses that will work for all of your spring and summer plans! Casual Spring Dresses:
Let’s start with casual dresses! When it’s hot and sticky outside, a cute little sundress is so easy to throw on and head out the door. You look put together and it requires minimal styling effort, which is so convenient! Amazon has a ton of great options. If you prefer the midi dress length, you can’t go wrong with a simple smocked dress like this purple one. The smocked design is so flattering up top but has a flowy bodice for ultimate comfort. We love this one!
If you prefer a little mini dress, this sleeveless dress comes with built-in shorts and pockets underneath! It gives the same vibe as an athletic dress but it’s a soft material. This one comes in several colors and has gone viral on TikTok. It’s only $20, which is phenomenal. This dress should definitely be in your spring and summer rotation!
Old Navy is another great retailer for a simple spring dress. We have tried so many and the quality is always excellent and they last forever! Having a solid midi dress in your closet will save you on those rushed mornings when you need to get dressed quickly. We love this blue-wash waist-defining dress, it’s so flattering and simple enough to be an everyday dress. You can also pick up this fit-and-flare dress. We personally love this bright pink but if that isn’t your style there are plenty of colors to pick from.
When we think of a spring dress, floral patterns are the first thing that comes to mind. This mini swing dress is such a classic sundress style. It’s loose so you feel comfortable and is great for casual events! The flutter sleeves also add a sweet little detail that gives it a little extra flare. We love this one!
We had to dedicate a dress roundup to athletic dress because we practically live in these when it’s too hot for leggings. These are designed for workouts like tennis, pickleball, or golf. However, we find them so comfy to wear just in our busy mom lives! With built-in shorts and bra support, these dresses are SO good.
The PowerSoft cami athletic dress from Old Navy is a staple. This is the perfect athletic dress as the material is comfortable and breathable. We feel so supported in this one. If you haven’t tried an athletic dress before, this is a great style to start with. The rest of the dresses pictured above are from Target because their athletic line has been killing it lately. Not to mention they have some of the cutest spring colors! We’ve both tried several of these and they are amazing. These are more affordable options that are similar quality to dresses we’ve spent 4X on! Highly recommend trying out these styles as well.
Spring Event Dresses:
Now let’s talk event dresses! Spring and summer are usually pretty jam-packed with events to attend such as weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, graduations, and the list goes on and on. One of our favorite places to shop for high-quality event dresses is Lulus! They have the cutest styles for every occasion. We pulled some styles that could work for a little more casual events like baby or bridal showers or be great for a wedding such as this dark pink floral midi dress. If you would rather rock a mini dress to those events, this floral halter dress is a winner. It is so stunning!
You can search Lulus website for dresses by occasion if you need a little direction, but their dresses are so lovely you can’t go wrong.
Amazon is our bread and butter for finding the perfect style for an occasion so we had to give you a roundup of more formal dresses. All of these would work for a formal wedding or event. We have worn several of these options ourselves and find these styles so flattering.
We have shared this mock neck cocktail dress before and it works well for almost any kind of wedding attire dress code. It is absolutely gorgeous and comes in so many stunning colors. This blue is just beautiful! We also found a similar short version if that suits your style better.
Lastly, we did a small roundup of Target dresses that will look beautiful at your upcoming events. Target has a wide selection of casual sundresses but these could definitely be dressed up for dressier occasions. This yellow midi slip dress is so pretty and comes in more neutral colors as well. We also wanted to share a few of the dresses from Amazon that we’ve been loving lately! Some of these are a little dressier so they could work for both a casual Sunday brunch or a wedding guest dress like this gorgeous green dress Lauren is wearing. Kati has this one in the pale pink color as well, it is so stunning and photographs beautifully. Most of these are more casual for everyday wear when you want to feel more put together. Pink was all the rage last summer and we don’t see that slowing down anytime soon. We will be rocking these gorgeous pink shades all summer long.
