If you’ve been craving a little getaway with your best girls—laughs, long walks, late-night pizza, and just enough chaos— Savannah is it. A long weekend or 3-night stay is truly the sweet spot. And don’t let the forecast scare you… ours called for 95% rain all four days, and guess what? It delivered. But honestly? It didn’t slow us down at all.
Here’s everything we did, drank, ate, giggled about, and would 100% do again.

Day 1: Travel Day + Bar Hopping in the Rain
We flew from Green Bay → Atlanta → Savannah, grabbed an Uber (about 20 minutes to downtown), checked into our hotel The Kimpton Brice , did a quick “get out of these travel clothes” wardrobe change, and hit the streets.
First stop: 208 Wine Bar for a little welcome-to-Savannah moment.
Then we wandered through the Plant Riverside Christmas Market—so cute, even in the drizzle—grabbed an outdoor drink, and then dipped into Service Brewing (walked in, walked out… no food, but chill vibe).
From there, we made our way to Poe’s Tavern for shared nachos and drinks, followed by The Lost Square, which looked like a cute ski chalet complete with yurts. We fit right in with our rain-frizzed hair.
We also swung by Top Deck, a rooftop bar with live music, before finally grabbing the holy grail of late-night girls-trip meals: pizza and salad from Pachy’s Kitchen.
Brought it back to the room, opened some wine, and it was delicious.
10/10 start.

Day 2: Lazy Morning, Horses, Tattoos (…Almost), and ALL the Drinks
We slept in way past our nonexistent alarms (no regrets), grabbed coffee in the lobby, and then grabbed more coffee at The Coffee Fox along with energy bites before our 10 AM horse-and-carriage ride.
If you’re new to Savannah, book a carriage ride. It’s the dreamiest way to see the city and learn about all the history without having to walk 42 miles.
After that, we did walk 2.5 miles… straight to our tattoo appointment.
Except the appointment was actually… the next day. Whoops. 😂
We took the L in stride and stopped at Flora & Fauna for—you guessed it—more coffee, where we met a local man named Richard who gave us a list of must-see spots in town.
Lunch was at Sixby where the grilled cheese and squash soup tasted amazing but the seating area was teeny tiny with limited tables. We Ubered back through a downpour, got cozy at the hotel for a bit, and then ventured back out to explore the shops.
Important fuel stop: McDonald’s fountain Diet Coke. (If you know, you know.)
Then we did what any respectable girls’ trip does:
✨ drinks in multiple locations ✨
Stops included:
• Savannah Tap House
• Bar Bubbly (so many champagne options!)
• The Grey (the history of this place = incredible)
• Vic’s on the River (not to be confused with Vic’s River Grill)
• Peacock Lounge — our FAVORITE speakeasy of the trip… and the best drink of the night
We ended the day with a 10 PM bedtime because we are fun but also tired.

Day 3: Tattoos, Massages, More Food, More Drinks
We woke up to FaceTime calls from the kids celebrating St. Nick’s Day (Wisconsin moms… you get it), then headed to B. Matthew’s for a delicious breakfast.
Next up: Spa Blue for deep-tissue massages.
We were an hour early but their lounge had three massage chairs, which felt like destiny.
After that, Krista and Lauren went to see Jade at the tattoo parlor (the sweetest and so talented!), while Emily grabbed salads from Wright Street Bistro for us to eat back at the room while we changed for another round of exploring.
We grabbed a Blue Moon for our walk down by the river (you can openly carry drinks in Savannah… a true gift), and stopped first at:
• District Smokehouse — outdoor, covered, warm heaters (still raining, obviously)
• BaoBab Lounge inside the JW Marriott — safari vibes and stunning
• Savannah Tequila Co. — THE BEST Baja tacos + brisket nachos
Drink tip: order the spicy margarita and the cucumber margarita, mix them together, and you’ve basically created a 12/10 masterpiece.
We ended the night with fun cocktails at:
• Alley Cat Lounge (bartenders… could’ve been friendlier 😅)
• Sorry Charlie’s Tiki Bar — festive and fun
• Congress Street Up, another speakeasy (cool, but still not beating Peacock Lounge)
Then it was back to the hotel for Tums and Pepcid because balance.

Day 4: One Last Breakfast Before Goodbye
We woke up, packed up, and walked about 0.7 miles to Collins Quarter for amazing coffee and breakfast. Literally everything we read about this place was true — delicious, charming, and worth the walk.
After that, it was time to check out and head to the airport until the next girls’ trip calls our name.

Final Thoughts of savannah
Even with nonstop rain, Savannah absolutely delivered the perfect girls’ weekend. The food, the walkability, the cocktails, the history, the speakeasies, the cozy vibes — we loved every minute of it. Three nights was the perfect amount of time to see a little bit of everything without rushing
